Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an update on the thigh injury sustained by Ghana national team star Thomas Partey at the start of last month. The Ghana international sustained the injury during the disappointing 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace in the first game back for the Gunners in the Premier League after the last international break.
Speaking immediately after Partey sustained the injury, Arteta feared that the Ghana international might have played his last game of the season for Arsenal. The Spaniard gave an injury update on Partey during his last press briefing on Friday ahead of the London Derby clash with West Ham United in the league. According to him, Ghana national team midfielder Partey is progressing well, but his injury is a significant one meaning that he’s not expected to make a quick recovery enough to see him play again for the North Londoners this season.
