Kwesi Appiah Says Ghana Should Identify Successor

Rumours continue to swirl around the future ofJames Kwesi Appiah, who has made it clear that he will not be in charge of the Ghanaian national team forever. The coach has had a massive at various levels of the national team. He has now confirmed that a good replacement should be identified for his services. The manager was speaking to the press just before holding the first training session for the Black Stars. The national team prepares to take on South Africa and São Tomé e Príncipe in back-to-back games. Ghana are aiming to pick up their first victory since July when they beat Guinea-Bissau with a 2-0 score.


It has been going downhill for the national team in recent weeks.Kwesi Appiah returned to the dugout as the national team manager in April 2017. He had previously been in charge of the team from April 2012 to September 2014. Since his return, however, results have been inconsistent for Ghana.
