Ghana’s struggles under manager Avram Grant is threatening to destroy the World Cup 2018 hopes.
There have been several calls forGrant to be removed from the post in order to help the national team have some chance of qualification to the World Cup.
Incredibly, Ghana came very close to achieving the African Cup of Nations success only under the regime of the Israeli. Throughout his career, Grant has endured several moments of bad luck.
He has finished as the runners up in numerous trophies including the Champions League. He has been in charge of the national team since November 2014. One of the longest serving managers in African football, Grant has never been accepted by the Ghana faithful from the first instance.
“We will do everything to be in the World Cup. When I took over the first thing I said apart from the Africa Cup of Nation was that I wanted Ghana to be the first African country to go farther than any other African nation in the World Cup.All that we have to do is to go through the processes that bring success,” said Grant. The game against Egypt is the only fixture in November for Ghana before they take on the African Cup of Nations group stages.
