Ghana coach Avram Grant has been criticised as being a lazy person by none other than a former chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe.
As a result, there is a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Grant, although he remains one of the most successful managers Ghana has had in recent times. Statistically, few managers have managed to take the national team into the final of the African cup of nations. Just like in many other finals he has lost, Grant ended up losing the prestigious African title as well. The form is a major concern for the national team at a time when the World Cup qualification is just about to begin. Egypt will be the first opponent for Ghana in the World Cup qualification, which begins in November. However, this will be the only match for the national team before qualification resumes in August 2017.
“I have been saying for more than a year that he is a lazy person. If you look carefully at his demeanor, he is a very lazy person. I have not seen a Black Stars coach who stays in Europe and come down when he wishes. He has nothing to offer us. Our performance under him has been abysmal. He is a useless coach,” saidDr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe. Grant has been criticised from various quarters for his tactical predictability and unwillingness to reside in Ghana.
